No. Like most toys sold as a flying bird or flappy bird cat toy, Flying Bird 2.0 imitates a bird by flapping rather than taking off. A touch from your cat starts the flapping and it rests after a period of inactivity. If you want a target that moves through the air, Wild Wing Chase swings a butterfly around its base on a flexible wire.
It is touch-activated. When your cat bats or pounces on it, the bird starts flapping; after a period without contact, the sleep function pauses it. That rhythm lets the toy rest between play bursts and gives your cat a reason to stalk it again, instead of running nonstop until your cat loses interest.
We recommend supervised play. Use it on a stable surface with room to jump, away from stairs and breakable objects. Before each session, inspect the body and the feather attachment and replace loose or damaged parts. Put the toy away afterward so the feather isn’t chewed while no one is watching.

The video shows them flying and the cat is chasing it and grabbing it out of the air. They don’t even come close to doing what they’re are showing in the video. These things suck big time. And for the price I paid. I bought a 3 pack. False advertising.
Went beyond my expectations! Perfect! My cat loves it!
My cat LOVED it. However, after 3 days, the motor got stuck and wouldn’t turn the gear. I took it apart to inspect and there isn’t anything I can do to fix it unfortunately.

It took a few days for the cats to get used to it but once they did, they just love it. One of my cats chases it until she can get it in her mouth. Then she walks around with it. The yellow tail is gone from one already so now we are using the feather. We'll see how long that lasts! It totally keeps them busy. I love that it is rechargeable.

My two cats like this rechargeable battery powered Pheasant toy. It is USB chargeable with a cable included. The toy has an indicator showing when the unit is charging and fully charged. It comes with catnip bags, wings that flap, and it makes a chirping noise. The cats have shown a lot of interest in the chirping and are working on pulling out the feathers. This little pheasant came flapping into our lives like it was auditioning for National Geographic. The wings go…HARD.. Like, Beyoncé level choreography. The chirping was enough to get my cats attention immediately. My cat came running when she heard the chirp and then immediately hit reverse like a cartoon character! She hasn’t made eye contact with the toy or me since. She watches it from the safety of the couch like it owes her money. That said… it’s kind of adorable. It flaps, it chirps, it recharges, and it commits to the bit. If your pet likes drama or has a flair for the theatrical, this one’s a winner. Four stars because I respect its hustle, but I also don’t want my cat to file a restraining order.
My cat doesn't like the toy, nor the catnip, but it's great for puppies to play and distract them.
This bird cat toy is a good toy. If you have a cat, you know they can be indifferent sometimes. Our cat likes this, but she is not what I would call crazy about it. She does from time to time initiate play with it on here own. For reference, she is a little over two years old and has become less playful in the last few months. If this were 7 months ago I believe she would be playing with it much more. FYI, when you charge it, you will need to plug it into a pc usb, I tried using a 20 watt charger and it did not work.
This is by far my puppy's favorite toy! He loves flipping and chasing it around, and when the sound and flapping stop, he's learned to give it a good toss or pounce on it to get it going again. It doesn't take long to charge, and for as much as he plays with it, I've not actually seen it die after several consecutive uses. The volume is loud enough but not offensive, and I find the sounds pretty tolerable. I let him play with it for a solid 20 minutes or so before it's time for a break. It's a surprisingly durable toy, and it's so much fun to watch him interact with the flapping wings. This one is still going strong, but he loves it so much I just purchased another one for him to enjoy. I'm so glad we discovered these!
My cats couldn’t be less interested in this enormous toy. I think the idea was great, they just messed up the size for sure. It is a cute toy but cats dont believe it is fun to catch a huge bird I guess. They should downsize!!!! Keeping bc it is more work to go return, but think about the size when u plan to but this.
Of all the non-flying, wings flapping birdies, this peasant has got to be one of the most well-made toy of this kind. Instead of just a little loop sewn in, there's a metal carabiner. Instead of Velcro that keep coming undone, there's an invisible zipper sewn in. Of all the 3 birdie toys that we have, this peasant is a big one which is perfect for my Maine Coon as she likes to play rough and goes after the jugular. I love this peasant. It's really the perfect toy. No real feather attached to this birdie, so I do not need to supervise when my kitty is playing with her. Highly recommend.

This is a flappy bird toy for cats. It is easily rechargeable. The toy makes a chirping sound. Comes with a clip hook so it can be attached to a string when playing with a pet. This comes with a small pouch of catnip. Although, I noticed the catnip doesn’t really smell much. The flapping wings will pause and can be reactivated when the toy is played with. It is not very sensitive to touch. The toy needs to be hit or tossed around roughly before starting up again. The mechanical inside can be taken out and the outside material can be washed. Our cat took a little while to study this new toy. She was initially attracted by the bird chirping. The provided catnip packet did nothing for her. Our cat pounced on it and then would wait for the toy’s reaction. At times, it would pause and she would paw at it, but it would not start up until I hit it. I think this toy should be more sensitive to touch in order to start up again. The provided catnip packet catnip should have been fresher catnip. This toy’s size was a bit too big for an average domesticated cat. We think the price for this toy is too high. Value does not equal the price.

False advertising. The bird does not fly as shown in the ad. It’s too heavy because of the battery inside, and it only wobbles around. Very disappointing and misleading. Save your money and don’t buy this product.
